Bt Corn & potential alternate host plants of the Asian Corn borerBt Corn & Potential Alternate Host Plants of the Asian Corn Borer
This brochure highlights the findings of a study on potential alternate host plants of Asian corn borer that was conducted by Dr. Merdelyn Caasi-Lit, University Researcher at the Institute of Plant Breeding of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). The results were obtained from a survey in 3 major corn growing areas in the Philippines, namely, Bukidnon, South Cotabato and Isabela. These potential alternate host plants may serve as natural refugia. Specs: 8.5" X 14"; back-to-back; single-sheet; 3-fold; colored brochure

Bt Corn & Trichogramma brochureBt Corn and Trichogramma
The fifth of a series of Bt corn brochures, this interesting three-fold brochure was published with the expertise of Dr. Pio Javier of the National Crop Protection Center of UPLB behind it. The results shown in this brochure says that more Trichogramma (a miniature flying insect highly beneficial to corn & other plants in controlling pests) and other natural enemies of the Asiatic corn borer (ACB) were found in Bt corn plants suggesting that Bt corn is not harmful to natural enemies of ACB.
