ASIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE ON INSECT RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT (IRM) FOR Bt CROPS

1) Review current principles and concepts of IRM;
2) Examine the experiences on IRM strategies, implementation
and monitoring in the Philippines;
3) Share IRM implementation experiences with other countries
in the region which are expected to adopt Bt crops;
4) Update participants on current scientific knowledge on IRM;
5) Discuss upcoming related developments; and
6) Prepare regulators with updated knowledge
and strategies related to more complex GM Pest Protected Plants (PPP's).
