SEARCA BIC through its Network Administrator Ms. Sonny P. Tababa discussed the Philippine government initiatives on biotechnology and biosafety policies and regulations of the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Health (DOH), and Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).

The briefing aimed to update 43 attending members of the Philippine Association of Agri-vironment Educators and Entrepreneurs (PASSAGE) Inc. during the Zonal seminar on Enhancing Agriculture Education Towards Sustainable Agriculture and Environment held at Aklan State University on 1-2 July 2004.
